Parents as Partners
Parents are the most important partners in our school. We strongly encourage input, feedback and participation of parents in daily activities, celebratory moments, planning and reporting. We involve parents in developing and writing individualised plans for students that incorporate their literacy and numeracy skills as well as their social, emotional and physical development. It is a priority for our staff to maintain regular contact with parents about daily issues and the progress their child is making.
We invite parents to attend our fortnightly Community Time where the whole school comes together to celebrate and acknowledge the work that each class is doing around the school. This opportunity is valuable for sharing experiences and recognising students’ efforts.
Parent Network Group
We have developed a Parent Network Group which provides opportunities for parents to come together to access information and connect with each other over coffee and cake. This takes place regularly throughout the year and is driven by parent input.
